GROUPED by Question Type: LSAT Logical Reasoning
The Complete Collection of Actual, Official Logical Reasoning Questions from PrepTests 1-20
The currently available version of the Traciela’s GROUPED by Question Type book contains no known errors.
Why should you use GROUPED by Question Type when preparing for the LSAT?
1) Contains a large quantity of practice problems. GROUPED by Question Type provides you with almost 1,000 logical reasoning questions for you to practice on. Repetition is key when learning new concepts for the first time. You will find that the more you questions you do, the easier they become, and the faster you will be able to complete them.
2) Allows you to focus on your weaknesses. In order to truly master the LSAT, and achieve the best score possible, you must identify and conquer your weaknesses. This means repeatedly attacking the particular question types that you are having trouble with. GROUPED by Question Type does the hard work for you by sorting and grouping logical reasoning questions into chapters by type. This allows you to spend all of your time doing practice problems, rather than searching through a bunch of PrepTests looking for a particular question type.
3) Keeps recent PrepTests pristine. Since the most recent PrepTests are the best indicators of your projected LSAT score, they should be left untouched and completed only in their entirety and under timed conditions in the weeks before the actual LSAT. Many other test preparation companies use questions from recent PrepTests as examples in their books, leading to skewed practice scores when students come across questions they have already seen. Traciela understands this--you will not have to worry about “spoiling” any of the newer PrepTests when using GROUPED by Question Type. Our book is comprised solely of questions from PrepTests 1-20, allowing you to focus on and master the specific types of logical reasoning questions that you struggle with most, while being sure to keep the more recent PrepTests pristine.
4) Includes hard-to-find PrepTests. While the majority of PrepTests are readily available for purchase, there are a few “rare” PrepTests (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 17). GROUPED by Question Type contains all Logical Reasoning sections from PrepTests 1-20, including these eight hard-to-find PrepTests.
Q: What is the difference between the PowerScore LSAT Logical Reasoning Bible™ and the Traciela GROUPED by Question Type book?
A: The Logical Reasoning Bible™ teaches you concepts and strategies on how to solve each of the different logical reasoning question types. However, it only provides a few questions at the end of each chapter for you to practice on. Many people simply read through the Logical Reasoning Bible™ and wonder why their score didn’t improve. In order to really master the concepts in the Logical Reasoning Bible™, you need to practice, practice, practice using the techniques it teaches. That’s where our book comes in. GROUPED by Question Type is a collection of a lot of actual, official LSAT logical reasoning questions for you to practice on.
Q: How do I use the Traciela GROUPED by Question Type book in conjunction with the PowerScore LSAT Logical Reasoning Bible™?
A: As an analogy to school, the Logical Reasoning Bible™ is your textbook. GROUPED by Question Type is your book of problem sets.
Q: What is the difference between the Kaplan Mastery Practice book and the Traciela GROUPED by Question Type book?
A: There are three key differences:
1)Kaplan Mastery Practice is only available when you enroll in a Kaplan Prep Course. Kaplan books are labeled “not for resale”, so it is illegal to buy or sell Kaplan Mastery Practice. GROUPED by Question Type is available for anyone to purchase on Amazon.com.
2)Kaplan Mastery Practice uses Kaplan’s question type classifications, which are a lot more general than the classifications used in most logical reasoning books. GROUPED by Question Type’s classification system is based off of the LSAC’s official description of logical reasoning question types.
3)Kaplan Mastery Practice contains a selection (but not all) of the logical reasoning questions from PrepTests 5-41, making it difficult to keep track of which questions you have and have not already completed. GROUPED by Question Type contains every question from PrepTest 1-20, and only questions from PrepTests 1-20. It was designed to make it easier for you to keep track of the PrepTests and make sure that you are not repeating questions unknowingly.
Q: What is the difference between the Kaplan Big Orange Book and the Traciela GROUPED by Question Type book?
A: The Kaplan Big Orange Book is an earlier version of the Kaplan Mastery Practice book. All of the differences between Kaplan Mastery Practice and GROUPED by Question Type apply to the Kaplan Big Orange Book as well.
